To be the trusted resource for Connecticut’s healthcare management professionals.
The Connecticut MGMA was founded in 1981. CMGMA has prided itself on serving a diverse membership includes managers of small, medium and large practices in a wide variety of specialties. CMGMA is comprised of over 300 practice manager members and is Connecticut’s principal voice for medical group practice.
Each year one of CMGMA’s top priorities is to host four educational programs geared towards topics and areas that our members have indicated are important to the daily management of their practices. Please click here to be redirected to our Events sections where you can learn for about what CMGMA is offering this year. We encourage our members to take advantage of these educational programs in order to stay on the cutting edge of practice management.
We also strongly encourage our members to seek certification through the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE). ACMPE is the standard-setting and certification body of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA). ACMPE board-certified professionals and Fellows earn more, on average, than noncertified professionals, have a distinct advantage over other candidates when seeking employment, and are viewed by peers and employers as valued resources.
